Empire Performance Engineering (EPE) has created a quality kit for those looking to improve oil filtration on their 6.0L and 6.4L Power Stroke engines found in the 2003-2010 Ford Super Duty trucks.
Empire Performance Engineering’s kit deletes the factory cartridge-style oil filter on top of the engine in favor of a larger spin on filter mounted in an easy access location on the underside of the truck.
There are many benefits to this configuration such as an upgraded oil filter, increased oil capacity, better oil pressure at start up, easier oil changes and a clean looking engine bay with more space for power upgrades. EPE delivers when strength is paramount and the quality of this kit falls in line with that mentality. The filter plate and engine plate are both machined from high quality 6061 aluminum alloy and stainless steel hardware is included. The included oil filter is a heavy duty 7.3L-style Baldwin B7039 that has better flow and filtration than the stock oil filter.
The stand out of this kit is the top quality XRP Pro Plus stainless braided hose and XRP fittings in a large -12 AN size with a true ¾” bore for increased oil flow. The complete 6.0L and 6.4L oil filtration kits from Empire Performance Engineering both have an MSRP of $1,029.99. The cost may seem steep until one considers how much money is already invested in their high performance turbo diesel, and protecting that value is key.
